Ann-Marie B. Zammit
Lead Vocals, Production Secretary & Party Coordinator
Born in St. Catharines, Ontario and raised in Fort Erie, Ontario,
music has always been Ann-Marie’s first passion.
“I have been surrounded by music ever since I can remember. It’s
not just part of my life, it defines my life.”
Whether it was Elvis and ABBA albums playing on the family
turntable, or performing in her high school’s jazz band, Ann-Marie
has embraced all things music.
Ann-Marie’s first taste of singing for an audience was an audition
for the show “Tiny Talent Time”, which used to air on CHCH in
Hamilton. She sang Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy”, a cappella
for three producers. The producers loved her, but felt her age was
a concern, in appearing as a solo singer on the show. Ann-Marie was
the ripe old age of four.
Since that audition, Ann-Marie has gone on to capture plumb roles in
various musical productions, including “The Rose Seller” in
Oliver!, and a lead role as “Tabaqui” in an
original musical adaptation of The Jungle Book, at the Shaw Festival
in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
So it is no surprise to find Ann-Marie behind the mic as the voice
of The Stone Poets. Her musical influences include Janis Joplin,
Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, and Madonna.
Along with singing, Ann-Marie enjoys playing saxophone & guitar,
writing, and the ancient art of karaoke.
Ann-Marie currently resides in St. Catharines with her husband Bob, daughter Catherine-Jane, cat Gizmo, and dog Tucker who provide her with a constant source of joy, spit up and fur. |
